Spring Programs (March 18th to June 1st)

High School Competitive

This program is for any high school student who wishes to train and represent their high school in competition. Indoor training to prepare for the outdoor racing season takes place during the winter with some indoor competitions on rowing machines near the end of winter. There is no experience necessary. All equipment is provided. Training times are after school or evenings during the week and mornings on weekends. Contact you high school rowing coach or athletic director for more details.

Cost – as determined by your high school

Available High School Competitions (subject to change):

  • May 7 – John Bennett Invitational Regatta (Buffalo, NY)
  • May 14 – Mother’s Day Regatta (St. Catharines, ON)
  • May 19-20 – Stotesbury Cup (Philadelphia, PA) subject to qualification
  • May 20, 21 – South Niagara Invitational (Welland, ON)
  • May 26-27 – US Scholastic Championships (Camden, NJ) subject to qualification
  • May 27 – WOSSA (London, ON)
  • June 2-4 – CSSRA (St. Catharines, ON)

Club Competitive

This program is for any age group (high school, university) who wants to seriously train for competitive racing and represent Niagara Falls Rowing Club in competitions. Rowers should have at least 1 year of rowing experience, recreational or competitive. Training times are morning or evenings during the week and mornings on weekends. All equipment is provided. Cost – $385 plus one time annually $100 affiliation fee to Rowing Canada and Row Ontario.

Competition Schedule (subject to change):

  • Limited race schedule to be announced

Club Recreational

This program is for any age group (high school, university or adult) who is looking to learn to row and/or casually row for fitness and fun. Some rowing experience is recommended but not mandatory. Training times are morning or evenings during the week and mornings on weekends. This is a non-competitive membership.

Cost – $190 plus one time annually $35 affiliation fee to Rowing Canada and Row Ontario.

To join Niagara Falls Rowing Club, print and complete the Membership Form and mail it to the rowing club with your payment.

Youth Rowing Camps

This program is for youth (ages 11-16) who are interested in learning to row and enjoy casual rowing sessions. The youth rowing program is scheduled to begin in June. Contact the club info@niagarafallsrowingclub.com for specific dates and times for the youth rowing camps.

Cost – $190 plus one time annually $35 affiliation fee to Rowing Canada and Row Ontario.
