This is an introductory rowing event for elementary school aged youth interested in learning and trying rowing.
We will be offering an introductory rowing camp at the Niagara Falls Rowing Club at 5454 Lyons Creek Road. It is for youth (elementary students) who have never rowed before. We have tentatively planned it for June 19th and 20th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and possibly Saturday, June 21st from 9:00am to 11:00am.
The cost will be $25 for a two hour session which will include basic rowing technique (on rowing machines), dock side instruction in boats, and rowing in a training single, racing single, double, quad or four depending on participants and progress.
The purpose of these new camps is to introduce the sport of rowing to the young athletes of Niagara Falls so they may consider the sport in the future with their high schools or just for future recreation.
