The athlete should follow the steps below to complete the registration process.
Step 1: Safety and Forms
- Watch the safety video provided by Rowing Canada
- Read the Concussion Resources for your age group and the Concussion Code of Conduct
- Read the Image Consent Form & Code of Conduct and Ethics
Note: If you have a history of concussions, please provide your coach with a Personal Concussion Record
If you are over the age of 18, click here to complete all of the above digitally.
If you are under the age of 18, click the link above to complete acknowledgement of the safety video. The Concussion Code of Conduct and Image Consent Form need to be signed on paper by athlete and parent/guardian. Hand these to your coach at practice or send scanned copies via email.
Step 2: Register with Rowing Canada
Every athlete who participates in a rowing program must register with Rowing Canada. You will continue using the same login for all subsequent seasons you enroll in.
Please do not pay for membership on Rowing Canada, see Step 3 and pay NFRC directly.
Step 3: Payment can be made by any one of the following options:
- e-Transfer to niagarafallsrowing@gmail.com (please insert the athletes name in the memo field before you send the e-Transfer)
- bring cheque to first practice of the season
- mail cheque to: Niagara Falls Rowing Club c/o 5454 Lyons Creek Road, Niagara Falls ON L2G 0L5
Other items:
1. A swim test may be required for high-school athletes, please find those dates and times on the program page or emails from the head coach.
2. It is recommended that all athletes have a dry kit of clothing at the rowing club in the case your clothes become wet during practice. Your dry kit can be stored in the boathouse.
